The crew started after as long rest in the former dormitory. The crew crept down the diagonal hallway and saw a door. They listened and heard nothing. The door was locked by a sliding bolt from the outside. When they opened it up it was pitch black even though they had light just outside the door. They tossed in a torch and it just disappeared into darkness and silence. After some time they realized it must have had a permeant darkness spell cast in there. After casting light on an arrow they tossed it in and saw that it would give them about a 15' radius of light. The hire walked around and seemed to disappear. He could hear nothing when inside the room but with the magical light was able to see around the room. There was really nothing in there except a chair. After leaving they locked the door again from the outside.
From there they traveled further south and woke up some (5) angry spitting beetles. Before they all went down Bill took 10 damage and Willy got KOed. Gregoire was able to heal Willy before the next round or he would have bit the dust.
They went around the corner and found a door with lots of noise coming from the other side. It sounded like a party, people laughing, yelling and breaking things in a room. Boomy tried to shoulder the door open and it was barred from the inside. Luckily enough the noise in the room mixed with the attempt to bust it open so no one was the wiser.
The crew moved on to a new section which was warmer and had serpentine motifs all along the walls and hallways. They chose to move north through a hallway and came to a room with a Stone pedestal with four-headed stone cobra carving atop it. This 3‘ tall stone pedestal bears a stone carving of a 2.5‘ high, four-headed hooded cobra atop it. Each of the cobra‘s heads faces a cardinal compass point. The pedestal has two 6" deep holes set into it, one on the north side and one on the south. A dagger, pole or iron spike would fit in there easily. Each cobra mouth seemed to have a small hole in its opening.
The PCs soon discovered the statue would pivot and rotate both clockwise and counter clockwise. They positioned 2 hires with a shield infront of the cobra heads facing them in case something comes out of the cobra mouth. Boomy and Greg place their 10 foot poles in the holes and attempt to pivot the statue around clockwise. The poles get close to snapping. They have to get closer for better leverage and then they are able to rotate. They get the statue about 1/4 of the way around and the mouths start hissing some greenish gas that fills up the room quickly. The two hires are unharmed (made save) and make their way quickly out of the room. Greg, Robbie, and Boomy are not so lucky (Failed their save) and each take 2d8 poison gas damage. (Robbie takes the most damage, that was a little too close)
After the gas dissipates and the group recovers. They notice a small niche in the western wall opens up revealing some loot.
